pictures on film / part fourteen

на прошлой неделе я опубликовала пост с первой порцией фотографий, сделанных на пленку, из стокгольма, а сегодня покажу тебе вторую. в самом начале поста - кадры, сделанные сразу же после моего приезда в швецию в конце августа и во время исследований города в сентябре, а дальше идут те, что были отсняты уже в октябре. несмотря на то, что многое на этих снимках не так, они мне очень и очень нравятся. я жутко рада тому, что почти два года назад исполнила свое желание и начала снова пользоваться пленочным фотоаппаратом. я обожаю пленку и то, как она передает мир вокруг нас и все то, что нас окружает. эти снимки - не идеальны, но таков и наш мир, зато в них есть душа и тепло. хочу больше снимать, чаще фотографировать людей и самой появляться на кадрах. хочу запечатлеть все-все и запомнить как можно больше <3

i published a post with a first portion of photographs, taken on a film, from stockholm last week and  today i am going to share another one with you. at the very beginning of the post, you will see shots that were taken right after my arrival to sweden in late august and then while i was exploring the city in september, whereas in the second part you will see what i captured in october. even though most of these images are flawed, i truly like them a lot. i am so happy that i started using a film camera again almost two years ago. i am such a huge fan of film photography, and the way film captures the world and our surroundings. these images are not perfect, but neither is our world. nevertheless they are soulful and warm. i want to take more pictures on film, i want to take pictures of people more often and to appear on images more often myself. i want to capture everything and i want to remember as much as possible <3

в июле я написала первый пост "there is no secret" и ответила на три часто задаваемых мне вопроса. основная идея такова - ни одно достижение не случается сам по себе. стоящий результат возможен исключительно благодаря терпению и усердию. иначе - никак! второй такой пост я публикую сегодня. в нем я отвечаю еще на три вопроса в надежде на то, что мои мысли и мой опыт будут кому-то полезны. если тебе в голову придет вопрос, который можно будет отнести в одну категорию с теми, что ты прочтешь ниже, - оставляй его в комментарии, пожалуйста.

i wrote my first post "there is no secret" in july. i answered three frequently asked questions then. the main idea was simple, but very important - no accomplishment happens on its own. any worthy result is only possible, if you patiently make an effort. there is just no other way! i am publishing a second post in this series today, in which i have answered three more questions hoping that my thoughts and my experience could be helpful. if you come up with a question that fits into the category of questions you will discover down below - feel free to leave it in a comment section.

я с радостью публикую новую порцию фотографий, сделанных на пленку. я приехала в стокгольм с тремя фотоаппаратами и карманами, набитыми пленками. сегодня я покажу тебе, что получилось на одну из них, но совсем скоро сделаю еще один пост со второй серией фотографий. те, которые ты видишь в этом посте, я сняла на olympus trip 301. напоследок хочу подчеркнуть, что ни один кадр не был как-либо отредактирован.

i am thrilled to share a new portion of pictures taken on film with you. i arrived to stockholm with three cameras and a handful of films. i have managed to finish three of them. today i am going to show you just one, but expect another post very soon. i used my olympus trip 301 to take these images. finally, i would like to let you know in advance that i did not edit them in any way at all.

я очень давно обдумывала написание этого текста, и вот теперь наконец-то его пишу. сегодня я хотела бы сделать акцент на том, что важно всегда прислушиваться к себе. учитывая то, что я человек, который делится своим опытом онлайн, я ощущаю определенную ответственность и вижу потребность в том, чтобы подчеркнуть - вне зависимости от того, что утверждают люди в интернете (в том числе и я), любое решение тебе стоит принимать, отталкиваясь от того, во что ты веришь, что ты думаешь и чего ты хочешь. поговорим об этом чуть подробнее?

this is a post i have been thinking of writing for a ve-e-ery long time, and i am so glad that i am finally doing it. today i would like to point out that you should always do you! as a person who shares her experiences all the time, i feel some kind of a responsibility to clarify that no matter what people online say, including me, you should always make your final decision based on what you think, want and believe in. let`s talk about it a bit more, shall we?

раз в месяц я публикую опросник с человеком, который вдохновляет меня тем, каким он есть и тем, что он в своей жизни делает. эту серию постов я начала вскоре после того, как завела блог, но регулярной сделала не сразу. были месяцы, когда опросники не выходили вообще, а потом такие, когда их было по три штуки за четыре недели. с две тысячи семнадцатого я определилась с желаемой регулярностью и стараюсь придерживаться этого  плана. сегодня - знакомство с графическим дизайнером, иллюстратором и каллиграфом юлией евсеевой.

cheer up / part two

i don`t know about you, but winter is really tough for me to deal with, especially taking to consideration how extreme and how long it is in a country like ukraine. it started being pretty cold in early october and november was just freezing. basically there was no proper autumn, just like there was no proper spring a few months before that. so, i would say winter started in early november and it won`t be over until the middle or even the very end of march, which is pretty upsetting. the hardest thing is the temperature. it has been minus fifteen lately, which felt like minus twenty one. i have no idea what kind of clothes one is supposed to have to be able to feel warm in such conditions. by late january or early february i always get really-really tired of winter. i just want to be able to wear a jacket and a sweater and feel comfortable, but NO, you need ten layers of clothing and it won`t be enough anyway. as a result, i get moody all the time and nothing seems to be good enough to feel fine. naturally, it is not an option to let yourself be that way for a couple of months in a row, so i am in a permanent search of various ways to cheer myself up. last year i wrote a short piece about some of the things and actions that made me feel better in winter, and today i would like to share with you a few more. the fun thing is that this time i am going to be pretty specific, as all of them involve scents.

meet alina kolot

as always i am extremely excited to share a new short interview with someone creative, hard-working and inspirational. today it is alina kolot. every time i see alina`s pictures on instagram, i am overwhelmed by how fabulous paris is, as well as by the fact that even every day life can be this beautiful too. however, it is important to point out that the way alina sees and captures the world is universal, because her images from kiev and crimea are equally outstanding. as you could understand, alina is a photographer. her story is especially interesting, because she graduated from university in kiev with a degree in "design and development of industrial and civil engineering" and then realized she wanted to become a professional photographer instead. she has been taking pictures for quite a while, but did not take it as seriously, as she later would. alina moved to paris to study at speos paris photographic institute, which she has successfully graduated from last year. i met alina last autumn and was happy to find out that she did not only take great pictures, but was also a very interesting and pleasant human being to spend time with. you can see alina`s work on her web-site, as well as follow her on instagram, where she has two pages - a private and a professional one. meanwhile, right now you have a chance to get to know alina a little bit more.
