изначально я собиралась написать такой пост про свои первые выходные в стокгольме в августе, но почему-то постоянно его откладывала, а потом в какой-то момент решила, что он утратил свою актуальность. теперь, после нескольких очень классных дней, проведенных вместе с моей подругой аней, я хочу рассказать тебе про наш с ней день в стокгольме. это был ее первый раз тут, так что нам хотелось успеть как можно больше, при этом не мучая себя и получая удовольствие. открывай пост, чтобы узнать, куда мы ходили и что делали.

initially i wanted to write this post about my very first weekend in stockholm in august, but i kept on postponing it and at some point it seemed irrelevant. however, after spending a couple of joyful days with my friend anja i am ready to describe a great day in stockholm with her. it was her first time here, so we tried to see as much as possible, while also enjoying ourselves. open the full post to discover where we went and what we did.

taking to consideration that i work in the fashion industry, it is unbelievable how rarely i actually talk about clothes on my blog. today is that exceptional case, and i am excited about it!

i was four or five years old when i let my mom know that i wanted to choose my outfits myself. even at that very young age it was very clear to me that clothes had a strong effect on my being and i was not ready to compromise in that regard. i wanted to look good in my own understanding, and i wanted to look good on any occasion. i hated an idea that you had to wear old or ugly clothes at home or when you went to the countryside. i was convinced that there were outfits that were both appropriate and good-looking. throughout the years of growing up and changing, i have had various preferences, but i have always known what i wanted to look like. for me clothing has always been so much more than a way to cover my body up. for me, its essential characteristic was and is how it expresses what you feel and how it makes you feel on top of that. there are days when i choose an outfit in order to express my emotional state and there are others when i try to hide it with the help of clothing. this is why my favourite fashion writer is leandra medine, the founder of manrepeller. i relate to her attitude to clothes a lot, despite the fact that we dress ve-e-ery differently.

good things list / october

if i had to choose a word of the month for october it would be busy. i did not notice how the month went by. there was a long to do-list every day and almost no time to slow down and have proper rest. while having a growing quantity of work tasks, i decided to get my shit together and take control over my schedule again. more acitivities, more things to do, less time, less energy. i have always thought that being busy was better than being bored, so i am not complaining. i asked myself a lot of questions and i did not find answers to all of them, but i am definitely satisified with the direction i am going in. november is going to be a little less stressful, but hopefully as productive as october has been. it was a great month and i am happy to share my new good things list with you! here is to a happy november <3

(online) shopping

i love shopping, and i am sure you do too. i remember the time when i bought something on a regular basis, not often, but from time to time i did. every purchase was a source of excitement and happiness. i was looking forward to wearing this or that piece, mixing it with other things, that i owned, and then going somewhere enjoying my new outfit. for some this may sound crazy, but if you have always loved clothes, like i have, you know exactly what i am talking about. this is why it is a pleasure to not only buy things, but to even simply look at them and try some on. when i have time, i can spend an hour or two walking around stores and daydreaming about buying everything i like and wearing it all. i did it a lot in paris, because cos and &other stories are heaven. the proof is here, in one of my first posts on the blog. yes, i take lots of pictures while i try clothes on. again, it might seem crazy or stupid, but believe it or not i started doing it way before posting any of it online, so it is not about posing or sharing or whatever. the point is in fixing the moment when you were wearing something you really liked. yes, you may not be able to buy it or maybe you doubt that you will wear it enough, so you do not buy it, but who said you could not enjoy it? no one did. that is why you should enjoy it as much as you can!

what is the main reason to enjoy december? upcoming holidays, of course (du-u-uh)! decorations are everywhere. it is literally impossible to not notice or ignore the holiday mood, and there is an important part of it - presents! all of us need to buy presents. to me, it is a special kind of pleasure. i lo-o-o-ove looking for things for someone. on top of that, i prefer to also wrap it in paper a-a-and add a lovely card. of course, i need to find and buy them too. and, although, this year i seem to be struggling more than i usually do, it is still a very happy time for me.

today i decided to share with you a couple of ideas of what could be a nice gift. and to make it more convenient i chose one and only one web-site which has all sorts of things (you may think they only sell clothes, but no) and, what is equally important, which delivers everywhere (well, almost) and even to ukraine, yay! if you are from europe or the states, you are in a much better situation, but for us, buying online and getting it delivered is a whole story. anyway, let`s begin! bonus - some things are already on sale! 

so, let`s start with the cards. i suggest you to buy a set, as it is cheaper, and it is quite convenient if you plan to congratulate a number of people. i hope you do! have a look at this one! you can give a card to someone directly or send it by post (yes, someone still uses post. i do!). 

and now, the main part! first option - socks. i am a fan of socks and i collect them. i have socks with burgers and fries, all sorts of animals and boats and various patterns. in winter i love wearing socks with santa, penguins, deers or snowflakes. YES, i really do love socks. i know, socks are considered a horrible present, but i do not agree. socks can be a great present. you just have to be creative. for example, you can choose these socks with winter motives, these ones with santa and a weird something or a bit cuter ones like these (yes, they are for girls).

fi-i-ine, you do no think that socks are a good idea. let`s move on. notebooks. almost everyone needs them, right? some use them for studying, others - for work/journaling/doodling and many other options. so, how about a set of two red moleskine journals? it is a great combination - beautiful and practical! 

you would like something even "more proper"? then i suggest you to buy a book, but with a twist of fun. for example, burgers` recipes or a book about beards. these are definitely options for boys. what about girls? for them i have a book of mindfulness or a book of positivity. girls like this kind of stuff.

a classy option for boys - a bow-tie. i used to enjoy wearing them myself, and i must tell you that such a detail changes the whole outfit for the better! and a set of rings for a girl. 

looking for a unisex option? a cute glass is what you need.

p.s. if this year you cannot buy presents, there is an option of creating them with your hands. for example, you can bake cookies and put them in a beauitufl bag or even a box! i am sure that such a present will be valued even more than a bought one! 

основная причина наслаждаться декабрем? безусловно, приближающиеся праздники! украшения - повсюду, так что не заметить или игнорировать предпраздничное настроение попросту невозможно. важной частью этого периода, конечно же, являются подарки! всем нам нужно их купить. для меня это особое удовольствие. я о-о-о-очень люблю искать подарки. кроме того, мне нравится упаковывать их в специальную бумагу и добавлять к ним милые открытки. конечно, и то и другое также нужно купить. и несмотря на то, что в этом году выбор подарков дается мне сложнее обычного, это все же очень радостное время. 

сегодня я решила поделиться с тобой несколькими идеями подарков, которые можно купить в интернете. для того, чтобы все упростить, я использовала лишь один сайт, на котором есть самые разные вещи (возможно, ты думаешь, что там можно купить только одежду, но это не так), и который доставляет покупки по всему миру (ну, почти по всему). в украину - таки доставляет. итак, приступим! приятный бонус - на некоторые вещи уже есть скидка!

начать предлагаю с открыток! советую тебе купить набор, ведь так дешевле и удобнее, если собираешься поздравлять многих людей, а я надеюсь, что это именно так. как тебе такой вариант? открытку можно подарить при встрече или же отправить по почте (да-да, кто-то до сих пор пользуется ею. например, я). 

переходим к основной части! первый вариант - носки. я - фанат носков, и я их коллекционирую. у меня есть носки с бургерами и картошкой фри, животными и лодками, а также самыми разными узорами. зимой мне нравится носить носки с сантой, пингвинами, оленями и снежинками. ДА, я действительно очень люблю носки. я знаю, что носки считаются отвратительным подарком, но я с этим не согласна. носки могут быть классными подарком, просто нужно быть изобретательным. например, ты можешь выбрать эти носки с зимними мотивами, эти с сантой и чем-то странным или же более милые, как эти (да, они для девочек). 

ладно-ладно, ты не думаешь, что носки это хорошая идея. идем дальше. блокноты. они нужны практически всем, верно? кому-то - для учебы, кому-то - для работы, ведения личных записей, рисования и многих других вариантов. так как насчет набора из двух красных журналов moleskine? отличное сочетание - и красиво и практично!

хотелось бы "более полноценный" подарок? тогда я предлагаю тебе купить книгу, но слегка развлекательную. например, с рецептами бургеров или про бороду. конечно же, такие варианты подходят парням, а что насчет девушек? для них можно выбрать книгу об осознанном подходе к жизни или о позитиве. да, девушкам такое нравится.

первоклассный подарок для парня - бабочка. раньше мне и самой нравилось их носить, и должна сказать, что эта маленькая деталь преображает любой наряд. а для девушки - можно выбрать набор колечек.

ищешь вариант унисекс? милый стаканчик - вот то, что тебе нужно.

что думаешь? а, может, ты уже купил(а) подарки, тогда расскажи мне о них. 

p.s. а если в этом году у тебя нет возможности покупать подарки, всегда есть вариант сделать их своими руками. например, можно испечь печенье и сложить его в красивый пакетик или даже коробочку. я уверена, такой подарок оценят еще больше, чем купленный!

COS store - heaven of fashion

good good good morning! how do i start my day? with the thoughts about some outfits i tried on yesterday at COS. i must confess that this is probably my favourite store and clothes there is literally perfect. from my point of view, COS is heaven of fashion because there is something for everyone in terms of design, colours and fit, as well as great quality and prices that are not that far from ZARA anymore, where quality keeps on getting worse and worse, unfortunately. i used to be a ZARA fan and almost everything i bought was from there, but the situation changed and i have not bought anything there in a very long time. as soon as i got an access to COS, i started going there regularly if not in order to buy something, but at least to enjoy trying on beautiful clothes. 

доброе доброе доброе утро! как я начинаю свой день? с мыслями о нарядах, которые я вчера примерила в COS. должна признаться, что, пожалуй, это мой любимый магазин, а одежда там буквально идеальна. с моей точки зрения, COS - это рай в мире моды, так как там найдется что-то для каждого в плане дизайна, цветов и кроя, а также у них отличное качество и цены, которые в последнее время не намного выше ZARA, где качество становится хуже и хуже. раньше я была фанатом ZARA, и практически все, что я покупала, было именно оттуда, но ситуация поменялась и я довольно давно не делала там никаких покупок. как только у меня появился доступ к COS, я стала наведываться туда регулярно, если и не с целью что-то купить, то хотя бы просто насладиться примеркой красивой одежды.

i have recently started looking at pink again, and it is funny to me. i used to lo-o-o-ove pink at the age of ten (were not all girls like that?) and then there was a grey phase, a colourful one and finally "all black everything" phase, which, kind of, lasts now too, but i still do add some colours from time to time. actually this makes me want to start discussing that everything looks better in black, but i would like to leave it for the future and get back to what i tried on yesterday. a pink dress with a one shoulder-off seems like a great option for summer nights which are warm but sometimes chilly and you have a nice reason to look better than on a normal day. however, i am not a fan of assymetrical stuff, so i would definitely go for the dress with both shoulders off if i could. what about you?

недавно я вновь стала присматриваться к вещам розового цвета, и это кажется мне забавным. я о-о-очень любила розовый, когда мне было лет десять (разве так было не со всеми девочками?), а потом у меня была серая фаза, разноцветная фаза и наконец-то фаза "все только черное", которая продолжается и сейчас, но время от времени я таки надеваю другие цвета для разнообразия.  кстати, это наталкивает меня на мысль и, соответственно, беседу о том, что все выглядит лучше в черном цвете, но я бы хотела оставить этот разговор на потом и вернуться к тому, что я померила вчера. розовое платье с одним оголенным плечом кажется отличнейшим вариантом для теплых летних ночей, которые иногда становятся очень даже прохладными, а у тебя есть повод принарядиться. хоть я и не фанат асимметрии, и предпочла бы, чтобы оголенными были оба плеча, а что бы выбрала ты?

the-e-e-n i have a very loose outfit. most girls are afraid of wearing loose things and think that tight things make you look better (=skinnier), but i have always thought that loose outfits are great. not only they can help you in hiding something you do not want to show, but they also look good and quite unusual. for quite a while now i have been a huge fan of loose things such as shirts and pants. although, i do find that it is great to have a balance - tight or normal top and loose bottom or the other way around - loose top and tight or normal bottom, i sometimes feel like i want to do both - loose top and loose bottom. i love it! you can be extremely comfortable and elegant in a way at the same time. i do know that most girls would not go for such an option, but it is just me we are talking about here, right? but if we do switch to you all - i would suggest going into a store and actually experimenting a bit with all sorts of "cuts" and "fits". surprise yourself! and yes, pink again! 

а это очень свободный во всех смыслах наряд. большинство девушек бояться носить свободные вещи и убеждены в том, что они выглядят лучше (=худее) в облегающих вещах, но я всегда считала, что свободные наряды - классные и довольно необычные. кроме того, могут спрятать не лучшие твои части. довольно долго мне нравятся рубашки и брюки свободного кроя. несмотря на то, что я думаю, что здорово балансировать, выбирая облегающий или обычный верх и свободный низ или наоборот - свободный верх и облегающий или обычный низ, время от времени мне хочется, чтобы и верх и низ были свободными. не смогу объяснить причину, так как просто душа лежит к подобной эстетике. такие наряды не только удобные, но и довольно элегантные. я знаю, что большинству девушек такой вариант не приглянется, но ведь мы здесь говорим обо мне, верно? а если переключиться таки и на всех вас, я бы посоветовала отправиться в магазин и поэксперементировать с разнообразными видами кроя и посадки. удиви себя! и да, снова розовый.

а вот эта вещь - воплощение того, что я обычно выбираю - черная и простая. выглядит отлично, правда же? особое преимущество  этого платья в материале (я не помню, каком именно, но мне было очень тепло), а еще у него есть сюрприз! прокрути чуть ниже и увидишь. красота же!

  

on some pictures you can see that i am wearing my new balance sneakers, on the others you cannot, but as a matter of fact, i would wear them in real life with every single outfit i am showing here. i am so happy that this summer when packing my luggage and not being able to choose which pair of sneakers (i miss my nikes so badly) to pack with me to go from kiev to paris i bought a new one, that does go with everything i own or would like to. feels good when your fashionable choice is also a practical one.

на некоторых фотографиях видно, что на мне мои кроссовки new balance, на других - нет, но факт в том, что я бы надела их с каждым нарядом из тех, что я показала здесь. я счастлива, что этим летом в процессе сбора вещей я так и не смогла выбрать пару кроссовок, которые я возьму с собой из киева в париж (я безумно скучаю по своим найкам), и в итоге купила себе новую пару, которая подходит подо все, что у меня есть или могло бы быть. чувствуешь себя хорошо, когда твой модный выбор еще и практичен. 

а теперь мне пора возвращаться к написанию статьи о книге гаранс дорэ для simple + beyond. кстати, ты можешь прочитать мои предыдущие тексты о книгах вдохновляющих женщин тут. спасибо за то, что провела со мной немного своего времени! хорошего тебе дня:)
