вчера был мой последний день в ksenia schnaider, а сегодня началась новая другая жизнь. я знала, что обязательно захочу написать об этом, но когда пришло время, оказалось, что навести порядок среди своих мыслей и толково что-то изложить сложно. несмотря на это, я таки попробовала.

when you work in fashion, your life is divided into seasons and collections. that is what all of your plans and memories are based on. exactly a year ago i helped organizing ksenia schnaider fall-winter 16 presentation at mercedes-benz kiev fashion days, whereas five months ago we organized a runway show to present spring-summer 17 collection. in between those there were a tradeshow in paris, then another one in berlin and a presentation of a collaboration in kiev. after our runway show in september, we went to warsaw and did another one there, as well as brought the collection to a showroom in paris. just two weeks before this presentation, a part of the new collection was presented at the same tradeshow as last year in berlin. it is fun to be able to have a recap of a year in your life that way. today i am excited to tell you about our latest event, a presentation of fall-winter 17 collection by ksenia schnaider at mercedes-benz kiev fashion days that took place on the fourth of february. so what was it like?

i remember very clearly how intense my desire to work was, when i was at school. i spent last years feeling limited and extremely bored. i hated doing things for the sake of doing them and because you were simply supposed to, expected to. i could not wait to be set free, to make my own choices, to lead a conscious life, to be deliberate. as university came, it turned out that it did not differ from school much. there was no feeling that i was getting any closer to the real world, so i started looking for an opportunity to do so myself outside of any official and mandatory institution. i have already written about it last year here and here in details. have a look, if you are curious to find out more about my first job ever and what came afterwards. meanwhile today i would like to talk a little bit about my first full year of work, about my first proper anniversary at a company, ksenia schnaider, which is a fashion brand, founded in two thousand eleven by a womenswear designer ksenia and a graphic designer, who is now also busy being an art-director at yandex, anton schnaider.

going on a trip

 when exactly nine months ago, on the fifteenth of december, i was boarding the plane from paris to kiev and i was thinking about many-many things. among those thoughts was a question, that bothered me a lot - when would i get on another plane, when would i go on another trip? i had no idea. i had a lot of plans and hopes that they would work out, but i knew nothing about the upcoming months, i would even say - i knew nothing about an upcoming year. i got back to kiev, i settled down and i had to organize my life, so i got a job at ksenia schnaider.

as spring was approaching, we started planning a trip to paris to participate in paris fashion week. i was extremely excited - not only i would go on a trip, i would also get back to paris. i daydreamed about it, i imagined waking up in my favourite city again, looking out of the window and then getting ready to rush outside and enjoy endless beauty around. i made plans in my head and i could not wait. then something unexpected happened - for the first time in more than ten years of travelling abroad, i did not get my visa. i was shocked and very sad. the fact that i found out less than a day before we had to go, made it all worse. i wrote this post afterwards, and it is one of my favourite for sure. anyway, okay, i moved on. there would be other trips, there would be other chances.

ksenia schnaider x oh,my presentation

we have all been in the position, where you think "oh, no, it is monday tomorrow" or "ugh, it is monday already", but i have recently discovered that every day can feel like monday and vice versa - mondays can be great too. this was exactly the case yesterday, when we held a presentation of a collaboration between ksenia schnaider and oh,my. everything happened at the least expected location for a fashion event - a modern library bOtan. frankly speaking, i wanted to put everything aside, pick a book from the shelf and read at a cosy spot. however this was not an option! there were so many things to do. luckily, we had great partners. our guests had a chance to eat delicious and healthy cakes by lite delight and try out a new set of healthy drinks by detox shop. it is not news, but you can really make choices, that are both tasty and healthy. even though i ate a burger at one planet afterwards, ha-ha (it was green, ha-ha part two). by the way, i did not have to mention any of the brands, when people are doing a great job, why not?

ksenia schnaider fw 16 presentation

depending on whether you follow me on social media or you do not, you may or you may not know that i spent last saturday at "fedoriv hub" being busy at ksenia schnaider fall-winter 2016 presentation. what you see above is the result in the end, and it took us three hours to build it all on the day of the event and a lot of lo-o-ong days of work before. 

on friday i went to bed at about one am, which was actually saturday already, and woke up at six, as i had to leave home at seven. to cheer myself up i wore a pair of nike roche, which i love, but can mostly wear when it is really warm, as they are quite thin. this day was an exception, as it was about zero degrees outside, but i decided to not care. fashion week, you all ;) 

 

i have never been to a creative space "fedoriv hub" before, and i was excited to find out what a cool location it is. do scroll down through the whole post to see more pictures. now back to fashion. the idea of the presentation was to build a real store and announce the launch of an online-store there. it is a game, and a witty one. on top of that, the collection is all about being 100% real, as we live in a fake world today and it is a challenge to find something natural and genuine. 

 

as a result, next to a fall-winter 2016 collection, which consists of the coolest ever jeans, sweaters and t-shirts, as well as a few tops, skirts, dresses and some quilted jackets, one could find pure water, coconut milk, beer, toothpaste, cards and toys, and even hair gel, liquid for cars and conditioner for laundry. it was a lot of fun to brand it all with "ksenia schnaider" and "100%" stickers, as well as observe guests wander around and "steal" the objects. by the way, a surprise video is coming soon. 

 

guests were there for about an hour and a half. after everyone left we destroyed the store, packed everything and finally sat down for a couple of moments with a feeling of accomplishment and a cup of delicious coffee from chashka espresso bar.

в зависимости от того, следишь ли ты за мной в социальных сетях или нет, ты либо знаешь, либо нет о том, что последнюю субботу я провела в креативном пространстве "fedoriv hub", где была занята работой над презентацией коллекции ksenia schnaider осень-зима 16. на конструирование того, что ты видишь на фото, ушло три часа в день мероприятия, и еще множество долгих дней работы до него.

в пятницу я легла спать в час ночи, точнее это уже была суббота, а проснулась в шесть, так как из дома нужно было выйти в семь. чтобы как-то себя порадовать, я решила надеть nike roche, которые я очень люблю, но могу носить лишь в теплое время года, ведь они довольно тонкие. этот день стал исключением, так как на градуснике было ноль градусов, но я решила, что мне всё равно. неделя моды, она такая ;)

 я впервые побывала в креативном пространстве "fedoriv hub", так что была приятно удивлена тем, насколько это крутое место. идея презентации была в том, чтобы построить настоящий магазин для объявления запуска онлайн-магазина. это игра, и, как по мне, очень и очень остроумная. кроме того, суть коллекции в том, что она на 100% настоящая, учитывая то, что мы живем в мире фальши, а найти что-то естественное и настоящее становится испытанием. 

 

в результате, рядом с коллекцией осень-зима 2016, которая состоит из крутейших пар джинсов, свитеров и футболок, а также топов, юбок, платьев и нескольких стеганных жакетов, можно было увидеть чистую воду, кокосовое молоко, пиво, зубную пасту, открытки и игрушки, и даже гель для волос, жидкость для машины и кондиционер для стирки. "брендировать" всю эту продукцию с помощью стикеров "ksenia schnaider" и "100%" было настоящим развлечением. примерно такие же эмоции у меня вызвал процесс наблюдения за гостями, которые не могли удержаться и, конечно же, забирали представленные объекты с собой. кстати, скоро выйдет видео-сюрприз. 

гости провели на презентации около полутора часов и разъехались, после чего мы разрушили магазин, собрали всё то, что осталось, и наконец-то присели на пару минут с ощущением завершенности и стаканчиком вкуснейшего кофе из любимой кофейни "чашка".

have you ever heard about jacques brel? his songs are magical! start by listening to one of them or maybe even a couple here.

just a week ago i mentioned that winters are hard for me because i am incredibly limited in what i can wear if i do not want to freeze to death. due to this i spent last night looking through beautiful pictures, taken in paris in october, and thinking what a pleasure it was back then. every gorgeous piece you see is by a ukrainian brand ksenia schnaider (apart from a pair of my vintage levi`s). i decided to share them with you today. and let`s daydream a bit more together! looking forward to wearing some beauitful outfits outside and travelling again.

слышал(а) ли ты когда-нибудь о жаке брэле? его песни просто волшебные, а потому начни с прослушивания одной из них или даже нескольких вот здесь.

всего неделю назад я писала о том, как тяжело мне пережить зиму, учитывая то, как приходится одеваться, если не хочешь жутко замерзнуть. и именно по этой причине вчера вечером я пересматривала красивые фотографии, сделанные в париже в октябре, и думала о том, каким замечательным был тот день. все, что надето на мне, - творение украинского бренда ksenia schnaider (кроме пары винтажных levi`s). я решила поделиться этими фотографиями с тобой. и давай помечтаем еще немного вместе! я с нетерпением жду возможности снова надевать красивые наряды на улицу и путешествовать.
